This privacy policy explains which personal data ZichtKlik processes, why, how long it is kept and what rights you have. You can reach ZichtKlik at zichtklik@gmail.com.
Which data we process
Depending on how you use the website, we process:
- Order details: name, address, email address, telephone number, the products ordered and payment details, when you place an order.
- Contact details: name, email address, telephone number where given, and the content of your message, when you use the contact form or email us.
- Newsletter details: your email address, when you sign up for the newsletter voluntarily.
- Usage data: technical and statistical data about your visit, such as page views, only with your consent for analytics cookies (see our cookie policy).
Why we process this data
- To process and ship your order and to provide the customer service that goes with it.
- To answer questions you ask through the contact form or by email.
- To send you the newsletter, only with your consent.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it, only with your consent.
- To meet legal obligations, for example in the area of bookkeeping and tax.
Legal basis
We process data on the basis of: performance of the contract (your order), your consent (newsletter, analytics cookies), our legitimate interest (answering questions, website security) and compliance with legal obligations (statutory retention for tax purposes).
Retention period
We do not keep personal data longer than necessary. We keep order and invoice data for as long as the statutory tax retention obligation requires (in the Netherlands normally 7 years). We keep contact requests for as long as we need them to handle and follow up your question. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email; your email address is then removed from our mailing list.
Who we share data with
- Shopify: ZichtKlik uses Shopify as the platform for the shop, order management and checkout. Shopify processes personal data on behalf of ZichtKlik for this purpose. More information: Shopify Privacy Policy.
- Payment providers: payments are handled through the payment methods offered via Shopify. These parties receive the data needed to process your payment.
- Shipping partners: to deliver your order, we share your name, address and contact details with the carrier handling the shipment.
- We never sell your data to third parties.
Analytics and cookies
ZichtKlik uses Shopify Analytics to keep track of orders and basic shop statistics. In addition, only with your consent, we use analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) to see how visitors use the website. See our cookie policy for the full overview and how to change your preferences.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict processing, to object, and to have your data transferred. You can also withdraw consent you have given at any time. To do so, contact us at zichtklik@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security
ZichtKlik takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss or unlawful processing, including by using Shopify's secure platform, which meets the PCI DSS standard for processing payment data.
Changes
We may amend this privacy policy, for example when the law or our way of working changes. The most recent version is always on this page.
